BH6 NG Profile: Rylee Maemi Hamada

...Hey. 


SO, I decided I wanted to redesign Maemi, the first Audashi child I created. Why? Well, though I liked her design, I wasn't in love  with it ^^"

I decided to fix that XP

So, without further ado, here is the new and improved first Audashi child ^v^



New Information:

Maemi is no longer her first name. I decided to make Maemi her middle name due to it A) Not flowing well with Caden's name, and B) Caden's middle name is Carter, named after Auden's late brother, so I figured since Maemi was named after Tadashi and Hiro's late mother (Hiro's mother in the original BH6 comic by Marvel is named Maemi), I would do as I did with Caden and make that name her middle name. 
It took me a hot second to figure out a new first name for her, but I finally decided on Rylee. It's a name that is gender neutral, and since this character is one who flip-flops between being girly and boyish, I figured such a name would fit her well. 

So her name is now Rylee Maemi Hamada

Rylee now plays baseball instead of soccer. I decided I wanted to pay homage to the possible idea of Tadashi playing baseball growing up by having Rylee enjoy the sport as well. Since Rylee is a daddy's girl, I figured that baseball could be one of the things they bond over ^v^
Rylee does NOT play softball. She plays BASEBALL, and is on an all boys team. It was actually a bit of a fight to get the children's athletic's department to let Rylee play baseball rather than softball, though they did push till the very end. But, when it turned out the Hamadas weren't budging, they relented and allowed Rylee to play with the boys. 
Rylee doesn't play baseball because she wants to be one of the "boys." She plays cause she loves the sport and wants to make her dad proud by playing the sport he loved growing up as well. That is why she didn't want to play softball; her dad didn't play softball or grow up loving it; it was baseball, so you can bet damn well that Rylee is gonna be a baseball player, genders be damned. 
Rylee ends up becoming her team's pitcher. Rylee has a knacked for pitching, and manages to hone that skill to become the team's first string pitcher. Rylee may have issues focusing at times, but when it comes to pitching, her focus couldn't be any sharper. 
Rylee ends up breaking her nose due to baseball. As I mentioned in the actual profile, Rylee's bumped out nose is from taking a baseball to the face at 10. The baseball shattered her cartilage and bone, and even though it healed a little more lumpy than before, Rylee sees her broken nose as proof that she's tough enough for baseball, and that she'll risk breaking it again and again to complete a play in the game she loves. 
Rylee does not hide her long hair or try to trick anyone into thinking she's a boy. Rylee is proud of being a girl and playing a baseball, and as I mentioned before, she is not at all interested in "proving she is one of the boys." She here to prove she can play baseball, and so she will go up to the plate, hair in a clearly visible ponytail, and does nothing to hide the curves that her baseball uniform can't. And if people sneer or laugh, thinking it's ridiculous that a girl is playing a boy's sport...Well, they've got another thing coming. Rylee may not be in the game to be a boy, but she has no problem shutting down boys and their sexist ideas. 

Rylee goes to a Montessori school. Instead of the usual K-12 schooling, Rylee and her brother Caden are sent to a nearby Montessori school. Montessori school's place students in classes that is based on developmental groups rather than age. That means, children learn at their own pace with other children at their own developmental level. Some children accomplish tasks faster than others, but the overall idea is to allow children to learn at their own pace without fear of failure. The reason Tadashi and Auden decided to send their children to this type of school is due to Auden's own experience in public school as well as Hiro's. Seeing how quickly Rylee advanced as a baby and toddler, they realized that perhaps putting her in a schooling would prevent her from experiencing what either Auden or Hiro did in school .

Rylee graduates fro high school at 16. Despite a different type of learning enviroment, Rylee did manage to hit goals earlier than other children in her grade and graduate two years eariler than then "normal" age. 

Rylee inheritied Tadashi's baseball cap. Despite being a bit worn and torn from her father's own use, Rylee wears that baseball hat like it's brand new. That, along with her bracelets, are things she never goes without. Her hat is a connection to her father who can tend to be a little tied up at work and therefore not around as much as Rylee would like. Not only that, but Rylee sees the hat as a good luck charm, and will wear it to exams, baseball practice, and other such events. If you wanna get on Rylee's bad side, just insult her hat. You won't be disappointed in her response ^^"

Rylee practices Aikido. Along with baseball and gymnastics, Rylee also practices Aikido. Wanting to practice a fighting style like her father, Rylee decides of Aikido, due to the style being one of fluidity, of using your opponents force as your own. Aikido focuses on "unifying life energy" or way of the harmonious spirit," which is another reason Rylee wears a bracelet with the kanji for "harmony" on it. 
Rylee is ranked as a yudansha. Yudansha are students who have reached black belt level in Aikido. Rylee became a black belt at 15, and at 16, ranks as a Nidan, which is the 2/8 rankings of Aikido black belt. 

Gymnastics was the first activity Rylee signed up for. Rylee was a bright little girl, but also extremely energetic. To help cope with her whirlwind, Tadashi and Auden signed their daughter up for gymnastics. The activity did help Rylee burn out some of her ridiculous energy and also became one of her favorite things to do.  Soon enough, Rylee was doing cartwheels and trying to flip off the couches, much to her parent's terror ^^". 

Rylee started gymnatics at 3, Akido at 5 and baseball at 8.

Rylee likes wearing athletic clothing 80% of the time. Seeing as she is involved in so many physical activities, Rylee opts for soft, comfortable, athletic wear most times so she's ready and rearing to go if she is running late. Though, Rylee will wear "girly" clothing. It may seem unlikely but Rylee CAN wear dresses and do make up and hair. She just doesn't do it often because of all her meets and training and practices and games she has; ain't got no time for masacara and skirts with that going on XD.
However, Rylee isn't against being girly, and of course she knows "how to girl;" have you people forgotten about Honey? X"D

Rylee has a helix piercing/cuff on her left ear and tragus piercing on her right. The helix she got when she was 12 and the tragus when she was 16 with Gogo (that was a graduation gift XP). Luckily, she didn't inherit her mother's terribly sensitive skin ^^"

Old Information:


Rylee gets a few things from each parent. From Tadashi, she gets his hair color, eye shape and sharp cheekbones. From Auden, she gets her hair texture (curly hair is actually a dominant trait, meaning that between straight and curly hair, curly hair is more likely to happen. However, her hair is more of big wave/curls, not so many poufy ones like her mama :]), eye color, jawline, lips, and nose. She also has her mom's long legs and slender build, though has a bit more curve and meat in certain places *wink.*  She also grows up to be on the tall side (5'8) related to not only Tadashi and Auden being on the taller side, but most of Auden's family tending to be tall as well. By fifteen, she is taller than her mom ^u^

Rylee loves bot fighting. Even though it is a more out-of-date sort of hobby when she is born, Rylee loves watching bot-fights.  Bot-fights is actually in fact, how her and with her uncle Hiro bond (though they have to be "legal" XD). Sometimes he participates, but most time the two just go to watch and of course, go out for a sugary treat after. Rylee ikes  watching her uncle work on his robots and sometimes he let her tinker with some smaller bots, but doesn’t have the deepest interest and focus to actually build one. ^^"

Rylee will fight for what she believes in, and will go down swinging if necessary. She speaks her mind on issues she finds to be very important, a trait she inherits from both her parents. She has zero tolerance for any sort of putting down of anyone, and will be the first one to do something about it. (This behavior is partly motivated by learning about her mother and uncle Hiro's struggles with bullying growing up, but also just those Audashi Parenting Skills, which included The Golden Rule of course ). She soon becomes known for her delivery of sharp, cold-cutting words while keeping amazing poise while delivering them, almost graceful while cutting people down. Things USUALLY don't get physical, at least, not since she was a child...

Rylee's attention is something she has difficulty with, as well as patience. But when she is truly interested in something, she zeroes in on it and cannot be budged from it. She is also very energetic, but that is helped with many after school activities to drain her seemingly endless energy XD. Too much energy, too much talking and lack of attention tend to lead to some problems...

Rylee is extremely independent, and will refuse any help, even when she needs it. This is partially due to her pride, but as grows up, she realizes that help every once and a while isn't the WORST thing for her. 

Rylee is a perfectionist, always striving to excel and be 100% at every part of her life. This trait is both a gift and a curse. She also has the tendency to take being wrong hard, and will study where she went wrong so furiously that it can be detrimental to her health. 

Sometimes Rylee can be a bit too confident, borderline cocky when she is young. Due to a combination of things, such as her intelligence as well as knowing how powerful not only her parents, but her family is, in society, Rylee tends to get a little too big for her britches as a child.  She eventually grows out of this mindset as she gets older (similar to Hiro I suppose, though not quite a smarty pants).

Rylee is allergic to strawberries (don't want to know the story of how that was discovered).

Rylee also swings between being super girly and super tomboyish. Depends on her mood and who is around [Auden or Tadashi, Honey, Gogo, or Brynn (Auden's eldest sister, VERY bubbly and girly)]

Rylee is scouted  by the SFIT baseball team. Rylee does not go to SFIT simply because she is interested in studying Chemical engineering, but also because of their sports teams. Offered a place on the baseball team by the college, Rylee ultimately decides to go to SFIT over other colleges because of this. 

Rylee still desires to complete a degree in chemical engineering and become in charge of a Pharmaceutical company. She wants to better the safety and quality production of medications while creating medicinal formulas that will yield the best results for
